‘No Small Stones’ – A new exhibition on our gallery wall by Aideen Monaghan.
Aideen Monaghan is a graduate of Limerick School of Art and Design and is a past winner of the R.D.S.Taylor award.
Her work begins with drawing and she seeks the extraordinary in the ordinary.
The gift of beauty can be found in unlikely places and experiences. In this series of artworks, Aideen examines how people effect and manipulate the natural environment. Through her work, Aideen attempts to discover the beauty, mystery and vitality which is hidden or which we choose to ignore. The transformative power of art, its ability to make the invisible visible is a source of inspiration to the artist.
