  • Wine Experience of the Year

  • Best Wine Experience in Connaught

  • Best Restaurant in Connaught

  • Young Chef of the Year – Attila Galambos

These accolades reflect Daróg Wine Bar's dedication to curating an unparalleled wine experience, as well as its commitment to quality and sustainability through thoughtful, organic, and biodynamic wine selections from artisan producers.

Head Chef Attila Galambos was also recognised individually, receiving the Young Chef of the Year award. Known for his passion for local ingredients and innovative culinary techniques, Galambos continues to elevate the dining experience at Daróg with a focus on seasonality and flavour.

“We are honoured and grateful to be recognised among Ireland’s finest at the Food & Wine Awards,” said Edel McMahon-Lukács, owner of Daróg Wine Bar. “These awards celebrate the hard work of our dedicated team and the support of our incredible community. We are especially proud of Attila for his well-deserved Young Chef of the Year award, and we look forward to bringing even more exciting wine and dining experiences to Galway.”

The Food & Wine team shared their praise, saying:

“Approachable, informative, fun: the winners of our Wine Experience of the Year Award take joy in what they do. They are willing and able to assist those customers who need help navigating the wine list, while also offering some new options to those who are a little more adventurous. Their lists complement their food offering, and have an appropriate range of pricing options for their location.”

Daróg extends its heartfelt thanks to its team, whose dedication has been instrumental in achieving this success, and to its loyal customers, whose support has helped make the vision for Daróg a reality.
