Edel is a graphic designer and illustrator and Co-owner of Daróg. Based in the West of Ireland, Edel studied Visual Communication at AIT Athlone. After graduating with a BA (Hons) in 2007, she worked as a graphic designer in Dublin for a number of years. On moving to Galway, she completed a BA in Fine Art (Painting) at GMIT. In 2018, Edel completed a Master’s degree in graphic design with the University of Hertfordshire (UK).

While working with clients in the restaurant industry, Edel developed her passion for food and local produce. She has combined this passion with her love of drawing and has created a range of tea towels, aprons and greeting cards featuring her illustrations. Many of her illustrations are also available as prints. Edel is currently working on developing this range further. Much of her artwork illustrates the themes of food and nature. Edel utilises bright colours and bold illustrations in all her illlustrations.
